Supporting the Teachers who Support our Children

As a mom of five children in the district, the new free childcare program on professional development days has been a true blessing. It allows me to focus on curriculum, data analysis and lesson planning without worrying about my children. These work days are essential for creating engaging classrooms, but attending when my children are off can be a challenge. The support provided by this program allows me to be more present and effective in my work.

Teachers invest countless hours beyond school hours to ensure the success of their students.

Having the opportunity for Professional Development and Collaboration days is so beneficial for our growth as educators. These days are not just about improving our lessons but about reflecting on the needs of our students and collaborating with colleagues to share best practices. It’s a time to focus on what will truly make a difference in our classrooms. Knowing that my children are in a safe, nurturing place while I am working allows me to fully engage in these opportunities without distraction.

My kids come home from "Teacher Kid Camp" so happy—they love it! They enjoy the activities and the chance to spend time with other children, and I can rest easy knowing they’re in good hands.

The ability to work without the worry of childcare is incredibly valuable, especially when juggling the demands of teaching, lesson planning, and data analysis.

This support from Parents for Public Education provides peace of mind and removes the financial strain of finding alternate childcare during these professional development days. It allows me to focus on my professional growth, which ultimately benefits all students. The dedication of organizations like Parents for Public Education is truly invaluable in supporting the wellbeing of teachers and the success of students. Free childcare on these important work days is not just a convenience—it’s an investment in both teachers and students alike. It helps me become the best educator I can be, ultimately benefiting my own children, my students, and the entire school community.
